The assessment identifies common psychological indicators frequently observed in victims of domestic violence, evaluates the individual's credibility, and, when appropriate, addresses less commonly recognized scenarios. This assessment notes the psychological, physical and emotional consequences that the crime had on the survivor. May provide legal status to survivors cooperating with investigations.
For survivors of violent crimes:
sexual abuse
domestic violence
exploitation
kidnapping
forced prostitution
human trafficking
and/or rape
This assessment provides clinical documentation of psychological symptoms that may explain delays in meeting the one-year filing deadline, as well as evidence of past persecution through mental health indicators consistent with trauma.
For people exposed to violence, harassment, and other human rights violations in their country of origin due to their political ideology, religious beliefs, or racial/ethnic background.
The evaluation assessment delves into the unique factors contributing to the client's psychological distress. These may include illness, disability, professional setbacks, financial difficulties, academic challenges, or adverse conditions in the applicant’s home country that could impact them or their family members.
For partners of U.S. Citizens or permanent residents.
Allows the partner to remain in the U.S. if relocation constitutes severe hardship on the resident or citizen.
