I’m Leslie Lima, LSCSW, and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve my community. Raised in a Latin household and fluent in Español, I bring a rich cultural perspective to my work. Having lived in Southwest Kansas for most of my life, I’ve spent 17 years in public service, helping others navigate challenges in their lives.
While I am newer to the mental health field, with 4 years of experience, my diverse background in public service and my dedication to ongoing education have shaped the way I approach my work. I am committed to offering a space of understanding, validation, and support for those I work with. I do not have all the answers, I am not an expert in life but rather a traveler—I am someone who is continuously learning and willing to walk alongside you in your journey toward clarity and healing.
I look forward to partnering with you to explore your path forward, drawing on my training, life experiences, and deep respect for the unique journey each individual walks.
My goal is to help you restore balance and reclaim your life.
Using Lifespan Integration (LI), I provide a gentle, body-based therapy designed to facilitate deep healing without the risk of re-traumatization.
Lifespan Integration is an effective, trauma-informed modality that works by engaging the entire body-mind. Unlike traditional talk therapy, LI employs a somatosensory timeline approach that clears past trauma and heals attachment wounds. This technique allows clients to process and integrate difficult experiences, without the overwhelming emotional intensity that often accompanies other therapies.
Clients who complete Lifespan Integration therapy typically report feeling calmer, more grounded, and significantly less reactive in their daily lives. Many also experience stronger, more fulfilling relationships and an enhanced capacity to fully enjoy life again.
Through this process, my mission is to help you regain your sense of well-being and step into a life of greater peace and connection.
As someone who grew up in a small town, I know what it’s like to feel like you’re expected to “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” and just keep going. But I also know that sometimes, we all need someone to listen, to understand, and to help us navigate through tough times.
When I chose to pursue therapy, it wasn’t just a career decision. It was deeply personal. I know what it’s like to be part of a community where tough conversations often go unspoken. Where the language we use—both literally and figuratively—can make it hard to reach out for help. And where the physical distance between us can sometimes feel like an emotional barrier, too.
If you choose therapy with me, you’re not just another client. You’re a person. You come to a place where you are understood. I’m here not just as a therapist, but as a person who has lived through similar challenges and knows how hard it can be to reach out for help.
