Standard Therapy Billing & Service Fees

Instead of paying the full out-of-pocket cost for mental health services, the policyholder (you) pays a periodic premium. The insurer then absorbs a portion of the financial risk for necessary care.

A provider agrees to a negotiated, contracted rate with the insurance company. Clients usually pay a lower copay or coinsurance, and the provider agrees to accept the insurance company's reimbursement rate as payment in full (minus applicable deductibles/copays).

I am contracted with the following:

• KanCare (HealthyBlue, Sunflower, United)

A provider does not have a contract with the insurer. Clients may pay full fees upfront and submit superbills to their insurer for potential partial reimbursement depending on their plan's out-of-network benefits.

Medical Records Request:

• Electronic Copy (Client Request): $6.50 flat fee
• Printed Paper Copy: $25 base retrieval fee + $0.50 per page

Professional Letters & Form Completion:

• Standard Letters / Brief Forms: $35 flat fee
• Complex Documentation (FMLA, Disability, Treatment Summaries): $75 – $150 flat fee (based on complexity)

How to Request Records:

• To request medical records or professional documentation, please submit a written request or signed Authorization to Release Records form via email or through the Patient Portal. Please allow up to 30 days for processing. Standard processing fees apply and must be paid prior to record release.

Out of Pocket cost/ Not billable to insurance

Under federal law, healthcare providers must inform self-pay or uninsured clients of their right to receive a Good Faith Estimate detailing total expected costs prior to starting care.
